Client At Home Care Instructions
Initial 24-48 hours:
● Avoiding getting the lashes wet for the first 24-48 hours following your lash extensions including steam, saunas, swimming pools and working out.
● Also avoid tanning beds for the initial 48 hours following your application.
Don’ts:
● Avoid all oil based skin care, mascara and cleansing products. Only water based (oil free) products are approved. Oil (based products) will affect the adhesion and cause the lashes to fall out prematurely. Also permissible. Oil based and or waterproof mascaras will interfere with the bond SO DO NOT WEAR IT ON THE EXTENSIONS.
● Keep your fingers off your lashes. Every time you touch them you are transferring natural oil and GERMS.
● Use of all manual lash curlers is prohibited. Only heated curlers permitted
● Gently brush your lashes with the lash wand given to you at your appt to groom them. The best time to do this is after showering, as they will be softer and less likely to damage.
Do’s:
● Grooming - brush your lashes with the lash wand given to you at your appt, ideally when your lashes are wet out of the shower. The lashes are softer and more supple then.
● Proper hygiene with lashes is a must. Make sure you clean your lash line once a day with OIL FREE MICELLAR WATER and soft bristle brush recommended from your lash artist. Coming to your appointment with dirty lashes and debris buildup will result in additional charges
● Use only powdered, gel, or liquid eyeliner. Please inform your specialist of your lashes when getting facial work done. Caution is recommended when having services done such as lasers, chemical peels, or any other acidic treatment.
● Natural lash cycle is 60-90 days. When one lash falls out there is another lash growing in. therefore you will need regular fills (2-3) weeks to keep your lashes looking beautiful.
● LESS THAN 50% OF LASH EXTENSIONS REMAINING WILL BE CONSIDERED A FULL SET NOT A FILL AND WILL BE CHARGED AS SUCH.
IF YOUR LASH EXTENSIONS BEGIN TO FALL OUT:
● If your extensions are falling out and your natural lash is attached then your lashes are going through the growth phases properly.
● If the extension falls out and there is no adhesive attached that indicates you are using a product containing oil and it is breaking down the bond between the natural lash and lash extension.
● If there is adhesive stuck to the eyelash extension your natural lash did not bond correctly to the adhesive and extensions because of excessive heat (tanning, sauna etc) or the lashes got wet within the 24-48 hour time frame.
If you have any issues please get ahold of me WITHIN THE FIRST 48 hours. Anything after that will be considered a fill and I am not held liable for any issues. When returning for fills please do not wear any makeup/mascara in that area. Please feel free to contact me should you have any further questions or concerns in regards to your lash extensions. Absolutely NO REFUNDS on services.
